Let’s see owned baseball on August 18, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Rafael Devers doubled twice, singled and homered, driving in 4 as the Red Sox cruised to a 13-7 final over Baltimore.

Brian Dozier got on base 4 times altogether, homering twice, driving in 4, leading the Nationals to a 16-8 victory over Milwaukee.

Yusei Kikuchi threw a complete game 2 hit shutout, striking out 8, to help the Mariners blank the Blue Jays, 7-0.

José Quintana kept the Pirates scoreless over 7 innings allowing 5 hits and earning the 7-1 decision for the Cubs.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Matthew Boyd threw 7 innings, allowing 2 hits and struch out 9 Tampa Bay batters. The Tigers bullpen imploded and dropped the 5-4 game in the 9th.

Eloy Jiménez tripled and homered in the White Sox 9-2 loss to the Angels.

Mike Moustakas reached base 4 times, including 2 homers, but the Brewers were doubled up by the Nationals, 16-8.

Jordan Yamamoto kept the mayhem in Coors Field to a minimum, allowing 2 runs over 5 2/3 innings. Miami’s bullpen would blow the lead in the 9th and the 7-6 game in the 10th to the Rockies.
