Martin Maldonado missed the cycle by a single, going 3 for 4 with 3 runs, leading the Astros to a critical 9-4 victory over the A’s.

Starlin Castro hit 3 singles and 2 doubles, scoring 3 runs in Miami’s 12-1 thrashing of the Nationals.

Mike Clevinger struck out 7 Orioles over 6 shutout innings as the Indians blanked the Birds, 8-0.

Jose Urena threw a complete game, allowing 2 hits and 1 run, earning the 12-1 decision for the Marlins over Washington.

Jacob deGrom built his Cy Young argument with a complete game and no earned runs while striking out 9 Phillies to give the Mets a 3-1 victory.

Alex Cobb threw a complete game victory, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs, giving the Orioles a 4-2 win over the Indians.

JT Riddle reached base 4 times, including a homer, driving in 4 runs, leading Miami past Washington, 7-5.

Miguel Andujar went 3 for 5, homered and drove in 3 runs as the Yankees took a 11-6 slugfest from Toronto.
