MLB Fantasy Daily (DFS) Picks For DraftKings – 5/3/16

A jose altuve washington post

Hunter Stokes (Chief Writer/Part Owner)

2nd Lineup (Look to hit on the Astros again tonight @ Minute Maid Park)

Last night was burned by Dallas Keuchel not pulling his weight on the mound.  I am laying off Collin McHugh tonight, as I feel there is to be lots of runs scored against the Twins – with Alex Meyer on the bump, and McHugh toting an over 6 ERA.

I also am feeling the Nationals breaking out the lumber versus Chris Young, and in particular Bryce Harper, who has had a slower 7 day stretch after a torrid pace the 1st 3 weeks.

I am still going to use the Buster Posey, Hunter Pence tandem versus Jon Moscot.

In order to field a huge amount of firepower, that comes with a Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, George Springer stack versus Meyer, I used bargain bids of the night in Matt Carpenter ($3900) and Brandon Moss ($2700) against 2nd year man Aaron Nola.

Tanner Roark is 14 - 8 with a 2.70 ERA in his time pitched in Nats Park. His last start last week, the man fanned 15 guys in his start versus the Braves. While the Phillies have fared well against him in the past, his price point enables you to use other guys in the lineup, while still having a 15 - 6 team

Tanner Roark is pitching more like he did in 2014, and the Nats are going up against light tossing Starter Chris Young – with their vaunted combination of Harper and Murphy.  While I think Murphy is due to cool off a little, Bryce Harper has had a slower week.  Roark is a value play here at $6900, and Harper not even being the most expensive OF tonight is well worth the pick of his lineup insertion.

I really feel that the Astros are going to beat up some people going forward here.  St. Louis also clubs poor teams, having plated 10 runs on Monday night for the 6th time already this campaign.

Give me Tanner Roark in a spacious Kauffman – coming off the heels of back to back outstanding starts at Nats Park.

I also used Nick Tropeano last week for a win.  The Angels should play Milwaukee tough tonight – after losing 8 – 5 Monday.  Having 2 SP only cost $12.5K have me a star studded offensive lineup.
