Cole Hamels threw a no hit masterpiece in what could have been his final start for Philadelphia. He struck out 13 and walked only two in the 5-0 final which was the first no hitter of the Cubs since 1965.

Kirk Nieuwenhuis led an amazing Mets attack by reaching base 5 times, doubling and driving in 4 runs to clobber the Dodgers 15-2.

Miguel Gonzalez pitched into the 8th innings, allowing 5 hits, 1 run (on a solo homer) and no walks, earning a much needed victory for Baltimore over the Rays, 5-1.

Alex Rodriguez homered 3 times, including a game tying shot in the 9th, driving in 4 altogether and leading the Yankees to a stunning come from behind win over Minnesota, 8-5.

Shelby Miller held the Cardinals, his former team, to 2 hits, 2 walks and 1 run over 7 1/3 innings. Unfortunately for him that one run was enough for St. Louis to top Atlanta, 1-0.

Joc Pederson singled, doubled and homered in a lost cause 15-2 drubbing of the Dodgers by the Mets.

Scott Feldman gave the Astros 7 2/3 strong innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run and 1 walk. He would get a no decision as the Royals walked off 2-1 winners in 10 innings.

Johnny Giavotella got on base 3 times, including a triple, and scored in the Angels 7-6 loss to Texas.
