Multi HR Games In The MLB – 2014: Cruz Pads His AL/MLB Home Run Lead Sunday
Posted by chuckbooth3023

Nelson Cruz refuses to relinquish his lead in the AL HR race. The big man clubbed 2 HRs yesterday for his 3rd Multi HR effort of the campaign. This has now given him a 3 Home Run lead over Chris Carter. Of course he is trailing the big Astro for 2 HR games this year by 4 contests. Cruz plated all 7 runs with his offense yesterday, crossing the 100 RBI plateau on the season. All of his offense should bode well in he is a Free Agent again this winter.. REINHOLD MATAY/AP
Multi HR Games in MLB 2014
Follow The MLB Reports On Twitter Follow @mlbreports For Games Played Through Sept 8th, 2014 (Tyler Flowers with last 2 HR games – Sept 7th, 2014, Lonnie Chisenhall last with 3 HR Game – June 9th, 2014 Last 4 HR game – Josh Hamilton – May 8, 2012)
Lonnie Chisenhall (3 HR Game) June 9th
Chris Davis, Orioles (3 HR Game) May 20th
Ryan Braun – Brewers (3 HR Game) – April.8th

Adam LaRoche has been crucial to the Nationals offense this year, and many of his 23 HRs and 80 RBI have come when the team needed it the most. LaRoche homered twice on Sunday – and has 5 big fly’s in the last week. Before his awesome power barrage yesterday, Washington had dropped 5 straight games to the Phillies overall. Of course LaRoche also did in the Dodgers last Wednesday, cranking a 2 run shot to tie the game vs Los Angeles off of the bench. and then adding another 3 RBI in his next Plate Appearance. It will year one more year of 25 HRs and 80 RBI for the 1B.

About chuckbooth3023
I played competitive baseball until 18 years old and had offers to play NCAA Division 1 University Baseball at Liberty University. Post-concussion symptoms from previous football and baseball head injuries forced me to retire by age 19. After two nearly made World Record Attempts in 2008, I set a New World Record by visiting all 30 MLB Parks (from 1st to last pitch) in only 24 Calendar Days in the summer 0f 2009. In April of 2012, I established yet another new GWR by visiting all 30 Parks in only 23 Calendar Days! You can see the full schedule at the page of the www.mlbreports.com/gwr-tracker . In 2015, I watched 224 MLB Games, spanning all 30 MLB Parks in 183 Days.
