Jacob deGrom took a shutout into the 9th, finishing with 8 1/3 innings, 2 runs, no walks and striking out 10 Braves as the Mets took the 10-2 final.
Whit Merrifield hit a 2 run homer and a 3 run homer and added another hit and a 6th RBI as the Royals pounded Seattle, 9-0.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Rafael Devers got 3 hits, including a homer, driving in 2, but the Red Sox dropped the 4-3 final to the Twins in a 17 inning marathon.
Cole Hamels threw 7 strong innings, allowing 1 run while striking out 8 White Sox hitters. He did not fare in the decision as the Cubs fell in the 9th, 3-1.
Kevin Newman singled, tripled and walked, driving in a run, but the Pirates were edged out by the Tigers, 5-4.

Ketel Marte homered, doubled, singled and walked, scoring 3 runs but the Diamondbacks were trashed by the Nationals, 15-5.
Shelby Miller stopped the bleeding with 3 innings of shutout relief, allowing 2 hits and 1 walk. But it was too little and too late as the Rangers were blown out by Cincinnati 11-3.
