Carlos Santana went 4-5 with a homer and a pair of doubles, driving in a pair and scoring twice, leading the Indians past the Twins, 8-2.

Jacob deGrom pitched 7 strong innings, allowing just 1 run and 1 walk while striking out 7 Mariners, earning the 3-1 decision for the Mets.

Miguel Gonzalez pitched into the 8th, finishing with 7 2/3 innings of 3 hit, 2 run ball as the Orioles defeated the Angels, 4-2.

Mike Trout earned All Star Game MVP honors by doubling and tripling, driving in a pair of runs including the eventual game winning run for the American League.

Glen Perkins closed out the game and home field advantage for the American League in front of his home town fans with a 1-2-3 ninth.

Who Owned Baseball Yesterday (July 14th – HR Derby) – Updated Yearly WOB Totals For 2014

Yoenis Cespedes won the Home Run Derby last night with 9 home runs in the championship round, and 30 overall. He earned a full WOB.

Todd Frazier came in second place with 1 homer in the final round, but 11 overall, earning 1/2 a WOB.

Who Owned Baseball Yesterday (July 10th) – Updated Yearly WOB Totals For 2014

Clayton Kershaw saw his scoreless inning streak end at 41, but a single run did not blemish another amazing start. He threw a complete game, allowing just 3 hits, striking out 11 and walking 1 and beating San Diego 2-1 for his 11th win.

Arismendy Alcantara was supposed to be sent to the minors. Instead he went 4-5, missing the cycle by a homer, drove in 3, scored 2 and got a hit in the 12th to spark the game winning rally as the Cubs won 6-4 in Cincinnati.

Scott Kazmir threw 7 shutout 3 hit innings, striking out 9 while walking only one Giant batter, leading Oakland to a 6-1 victory.

Mike Trout led an Angel offensive onslaught with 4 hits, including a homer, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored in a 15-6 thrashing of the Rangers.
