The 2014 season is quickly coming, and many people are putting together their yearly MLB Record predictions for both of the AL and NL.

One of the things people must remember to do, when predicting all records for all 30 teams, is to have their teams all equal 2430 wins.

Since they are that many games in any given campaign (at least to start with before any cancellations are never played).

Under the next links, we have the official picks for the year in over/under totals, and then the post season result as picked by both James and Chuck.

Here is the 2 And A Hook Audio Podcast Presentation Play Button Below (Running time about 2 hours, Chuck Booth enters 15 Minutes in, ARI/LAD opening series 15 minute mark.  Predictions 16 minute – 112 minute mark.)

Notes and errors from podcast, Chuck accidentally said the Tigers won the 2012 title when talking of the Fielder contributions after the V-Mart signing. Yes he knows the Giants swept Detroit.

Derek Jeter is not yet 40 as stated by this website’s owner in the Yanks preview – as his birthday is in June of 1974, but he will potentially play more games at 40 this year than not.

The player sidelined by a Cactus injury in spring training was Reliever Francisco Rodriguez of the Brewers.

Mike Moustakas hit a HR foul out of the stadium (behind home plate on Apr.07,2012 at Angel Stadium), a lot of guys have hit fouls out of the park in other places of foul territory. #RawPower.

The player Chuck failed to mention as a young pitcher replacement for Patrick Corbin for the DBacks was Archie Bradley.

The songs played were open: ‘Cult of Personalit’y by the Cult for the intro, James sung the Yankees fight song, and The Sanford and Son theme was the ringtone played during a phone call (James added some backdrop music)- and the outro is “King Of My World” By Saliva.

Keep looking down for the 2 And A Hook Podcast Predictions

Playoffs Picks

Note from Chuck Booth – Before we can enter into the playoffs, we must determine the 2nd Wild Card team between the Yankees and Royals in a one game playoff for the 2nd WC slot.

I am going to say the Yanks edge out Kansas City 4 – 3 in the game in extra innings.

James Shields will have thrown well, but the Yankees comeback off of the Bullpen late.

James had a clean wild card game of Oakland hosting the Yankees in the Bay Area.
