Who Owns October and Who Owns the 2016 World Series (#WOO and #WOWS) Tallies Updated For November 2, 2016

An Epic that Homer would have been proud of. (The author, not the hit.) I am still shaking. But still time to tallk!
So who owned October (and NOVEMBER!) and the World Series?
Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO (Who Owns October.)
And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.
But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)
At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

From November 2nd
2016 World Series Game 7:
Receiving 1 WOO’s and WOWS
Jon Lester pitched well out of the bullpen, striking out 4 Indians in 3 innings. The bullpen blew his lead but he helped set up the Cubs startling 8-7, 10 inning World Series clincher.
Ben Zobrist clinched the World Series MVP trophy by smacking the go ahead single in the 10th inning and led the Cubs past Cleveland 8-7.
Receiving 1/2 WOO’s and WOWS
Cody Allen kept the Cubs at bay with 2 shutout innings, striking out 2. The Indians lost game 7, 8-7 in 10.
Rajai Davis hit a dramatic 2 run homer to tie the game in the 8th and then kept the World Series alive with an RBI single with 2 outs in the 10th. He could not score the game tying run as the Indians fell short to the Cubs 8-7.

Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO (Who Owns October.)
And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.
But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)
At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

2016 World Series Game 6:
Receiving 1 WOO’s and WOWS
Jake Arrieta struck out 9 Indians in 5 2/3 innings, allowing 2 runs and earned the 9-3 decision for the Cubs in Game 6.
Kris Bryant collected 4 hits including a homer and a pair of runs scored as the Cubs clocked the Indians 9-3 and forced a Game 7.
Receiving 1/2 WOO’s and WOWS
Jason Kipnis singled, doubled and homered, scoring a pair but the rest of the Indians were silenced in their 9-3 loss to the Cubs.

Well, this is the last game of October… someone will own NOVEMBER! Should I create WON? Hell no. I do too much of this stuff as it is!
So who owned October and the World Series?
Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO (Who Owns October.)
And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.
But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)
At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

Receiving 1 WOO’s and WOWS
Kris Bryant ignited a dormant Cubs attack with a game tying homer in the 4th. He would add a walk as he helped top Cleveland, 3-2.
Jon Lester kept the Cubs alive with 6 strong innings allowing 4 hits and 2 Cleveland runs to earn the 3-2 decision.
Receiving 1/2 WOO’s and WOWS
Rajai Davis collected a pair of hits, scored a run and stole 3 bases in the Indians 3-2 loss to the Cubs.
Bryan Shaw kept Cleveland in the game by retiring all 4 batters he faced, 3 by strikeout. But the Cubs would hold on to win 3-2.

Receiving 1 WOO’s and WOWS
Jason Kipnis singled, doubled, smashed a back breaking 3 run homer and scored twice to lead Cleveland to the brink of the World Series title against the Cubs, 7-2.
Corey Kluber overcame early trouble to throw 6 innings, striking out 6 and walking no Cubs to earn the 7-2 victory for the Indians.
Receiving 1/2 WOO’s and WOWS
Dexter Fowler scored both of the Cubs runs with a double and a shocking homer off of Miller but it was not enough as the Indians prevailed, 7-2.

Who Owns October and Who Owns the 2016 World Series (#WOO and #WOWS) Tallies Updated For October 26, 2016

The Cubs have won their first World Series game since Game 6 of the 1945 World Series. Meanwhile Terry Francona lost a World Series game for the first time ever as a manager.
So who owned October and the World Series?
Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO (Who Owns October.)
And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.
But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)
At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

Dexter Fowler Has Been The Biggest Key During the Chicago Cubs’ World Series Run
For the first time in over 70 years, the Chicago Cubs are National League champions and have an opportunity to end the most excruciating drought in pro sports. While the roster is loaded with talent, a trip to the Fall Classic wouldn’t have been possible without one player in particular.
With the kind of star power Chicago possesses, Dexter Fowler probably isn’t the “X-factor” kind of player to roll off your tongue first, but he should be.
The Cubs won 103 games during the 2016 regular season, and it happened because their entire team is solid. Kyle Hendricks, Jon Lester and Jake Arrieta led a pitching staff that produced a league-best 3.15 ERA, while the offense boasts two MVP candidates in Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant.
So, why was it such a big deal when Theo Epstein and Co. agreed to a one-year dealwith Fowler (including an option for 2017)? Let us count the ways as the Cubs prepare for their first World Series appearance since 1945.

Daily Fantasy MLB DFS Picks For DraftKings 8/14/16
P- Jake Odorizzi (vs. New York Yankees): $8,200. Odorizzi entered his last start with a 20.2 inning scoreless streak. Unfortunately, he lost that streak, but he still pitched decent. In his last three starts, he is 2-0, with a 1.00 ERA, and 15 strikeouts in 18 innings pitched. In two starts against the Yankees in 2016, he has a 1-1 record, 1.12 ERA, and 11 strikeouts.
P- Tom Koehler (vs. Chicago White Sox): $8,600. Koehler has been lights out recently. Over his last three starts, he has a 2-0 record, 0.47 ERA, and 18 strikeouts in 19 innings pitched. With that said, he is going up against a pretty weak Chicago White Sox lineup. Over the last seven days, the White Sox have a .695 OPS, which ranks 20th in Major League Baseball.

Yankees Switch Roles at Trade Deadline, Help Fuel Potentially Historic World Series Matchup
Whether you’re a fan of the New York Yankees or not, a couple things are universally known about the organization: they’ve won a lot of World Series titles and normally do whatever it takes to win. The Bronx Bombers could have an impact on the Fall Classic again come October, but not because they’re participating in it.
Actually deciding to be a seller at the MLB trade deadline wasn’t the shocking part. Given their average play, it made sense for general manager Brian Cashman to trade Aroldis Chapman and Andrew Miller (among others) when their perceived value was high. However, helping the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians – two teams suffering through very long championship droughts – possibly get over the hump was a rather interesting twist.
It’s been a while since either of these organizations reached the pinnacle of the sport, but they each have reason to believe this is the year it comes to an end.
