José Berríos struck out 8 Rays in 6 2/3 innings, allowing 3 hits and 3 runs, setting up the Twins 5-3 win.
Niko Goodrum went 5 for 5 with 2 homers and 3 RBI as the Tigers topped Atlanta, 8-2.
Miles Mikolas threw 7 strong innings, allowing 1 run and striking out a trio of Cubs. He did not get the decision but set up the 10th inning St. Louis walk off 2-1 victory.
Trevor Story homered twice, doubled and walked, driving in 7 and scoring 4 to lead the surging Rockies past Toronto, 13-6.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Yu Darvish struck out 6 Cardinals in 6 innings, holding them to 1 run. He did not get the decision as the Cubs fell 2-1 in the 10th.
Mike Fiers pitched into the 7th, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs in 6 2/3 innings, striking out 3 Houston batters. But the Oakland bullpen blew the lead in the 7th and ultimately the 3-2 final.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. reached base 4 times altogether, homering along the way, in the Blue Jays 13-6 slug fest loss to Colorado.
Juan Soto got 3 hits, including a homer, but the Nationals were tripled up by the Reds, 9-3.

Kyle Hendricks threw 8 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run and striking out 7 Astros to earn the 2-1 decision for the Cubs.
Carlos Santana missed the cycle by a single, walking twice to add to his three extra base hits and 5 RBI to help the Indians out slug the Red Sox, 14-9.

Pete Alonso homered twice and added another hit, driving in 4, but the Dodgers came from behind to edge the Mets, 9-8.
Jackie Bradley Jr. went 3 for 4 with a homer in the Red Sox 14-9 loss to Cleveland.

Trevor Richards allowed 2 hits and 1 run over 7 innings, striking out 5 Giants to get the 11-3 decision for Miami.

David Bote hit a pair of homers and added another hit in the Cubs 9-6 loss to Houston.
Zach Davies held the mighty Minnesota lineup scoreless for 6 innings, striking out 4. The Brewers bullpen could not hold them ans fell, 5-3.
David Price threw 6 shutout innings, striking out 6. But the Indians ambushed the Red Sox bullpen with 2 in the 8th and 5 in the 9th to win, 7-5.

Austin Meadows got 3 hits, including a homer, drove in 3 and stole a base to help the Rays beat Toronto 8-3.
José Ureña held the Nationals to 4 hits, 1 walk and 2 runs over 7 innings to earn the 3-2 victory for Miami.

Adeiny Hechavarria went 3 for 5 with a homer and 2 RBI in the Mets 9-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Matthew Boyd threw 6 shutout innings, allowing 5 hits. The Tigers bullpen melted down in the 9th and Miami won again, 5-2.

There is a nearly full slate of games starting before noon, Pacific Daylight Time. Nothing is better than being a baseball fan on the west coast. I am going to be watching baseball for lunch!
The historically bad Marlins have almost caught the supposedly contending Nationals, and not because Miami has thoughts of winning the East.
The Yankees do not have a single player healthy on their squad and still can not lose. And Mike Minor somehow is a Cy Young Contender.

Marco Gonzales allowed 1 earned run and 1 unearned run as Seattle dropped another game, this one 2-1 to Texas.

Chris Bassitt threw 8 shutout innings, striking out 7 Tigers to earn the 17-3 decision for Oakland.
Luis Castillo struck out 6 Cubs in 5 1/3 innings, allowing 2 runs as the Reds beat the Cubs, 4-2.
Jason Kipnis hit his first 2 homers of the season, driving in 6, to help the Indians come from behind in a wild 14-7 win over Baltimore.
Christian Yelich homered twice, added another hit and stole a base as the Brewers clobbered Philadelphia, 11-3.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Robinson Cano got 3 hits, including a double, driving in a run and scoring another but the Mets comeback against Washington fell just short, 7-6.
Francisco Liriano struck out 3 Padres in his 1 1/3 innings of no hit shutout relief and was in line to be the pitcher of record. The Pirates bullpen allowed a game winning rally for a 4-2 loss.
Trey Mancini reached base 3 times, including a homer, driving in 3 but the Orioles were doubled up by Cleveland, 14-7.
Marcus Stroman allowed 1 earned run and 1 unearned run in 6 innings, striking out 6 White Sox batters along the way. The Toronto bullpen would drop the 4-2 decision.

Patrick Corbin struck out 11 Mets in 8 innings, allowing 1 run and earning the 5-1 victory for the Nationals.
Jarrod Dyson reached base 3 times, scored 3 runs and stole a pair of bases to help the Diamondbacks thump the Pirates, 11-1.
Gleyber Torres hit two homers in the 5-3 Yankee double header opener over Baltimore and added a third homer in the 3-1 nightcap for the sweep.
Justin Verlander went 7 innings against his former team, the Tigers, striking out 9 and allowing a single run as the Astros won 5-1.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Andrew Cashner threw 6 innngs, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs and struck out 7 Yankees but took the hard luck 3-1 decision for Baltimore.
Yu Darvish struck out 11 Reds in 5 1/3 innings but the Cubs bullpen dropped the 6-5 final in 11 innings.
Tommy La Stella got 4 hits, including a homer, but the Angels comeback fell a run short against Minnesota, 8-7.
Jean Segura went 2 for 4 with a home run but the Phillies fell to Milwaukee, 5-2.

Earning Full WOBs:
Josh Bell homered twice and walked, driving in 4, as the Pirates won in Arizona, 6-2.
Carlos Carrasco threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 6 hits and no walks while striking out 6 as Cleveland blanked the White Sox, 9-0.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. reached base 4 times, including his first two MLB homers, driving in 4, to lead the Blue Jays past San Francisco 7-3.
Kyle Hendricks held the Reds to 1 run and 3 hits over 8 innings while going 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI to earn the Cubs 3-1 victory.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Manny Machado hit a pair of homers and a double in the Padres 6-3 loss to the Dodgers.
Wes Parsons threw 3 innings of 1 hit shutout relief. It was too little too late as the Braves were clobbered by St. Louis, 14-3.
Ronny Rodriguez doubled and homered, driving in, but the Tigers fell to Houston, 11-4.
Chris Sale struck out 17 batters in 7 innings, allowing 2 runs. The Red Sox bullpen blew the lead in the 8th and the game in the 11th, 5-4 to the Rockies.
