Let’s see owned baseball on May 10, 2019
Earning Full WOBs:
Michael Conforto reached base 4 times, homered and scored 3 runs as the Mets ambushed the Marlins, 11-2.
Alex Gordon homered twice, driving in 3, to help the Royals beat first place Philadelphia, 5-1.
Justin Verlander held the Rangers to 1 hit over 7 shutout innings to give the Astros a 3-0 victory.
Zack Wheeler struck out 11 Marlins in 7 innings, allowing 2 runs and cruised to the lopsided 11-2 decision for the Mets.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Lance Lynn struck out 8 Astros in 7 innings, allowing 3 runs and 1 walk. He took the hard luck 3-0 loss for Texas.
Austin Meadows homered and added another hit and a walk, but the Rays rally came up short against the Yankees, 4-3.
Franmil Reyes collected 3 hits, including a double, and scored a run but the Padres were clobbered by the Rockies, 12-2.
Adam Wainwright pitched 7 strong innings, allowing 1 run, walking none and striking out 8 Pirates. He did not fare in the decision as the Cardinals were edged, 2-1.
