Justin Verlander struck out 10 over 8 innings of 3 hit shutout ball, earning the 3-1 decision for Detroit over Philadelphia.

Stephen Strasburg pitched into the 7th, striking out 11 Mets in 6 2/3 innings, allowing 2 runs and winning the 7-4 final for the Nationals.

Nomar Mazara reached base 4 times, homered and drove in a pair to help the Rangers past the Angels,4-1.

Gregory Polanco went 3 for 5 with a homer and 5 RBI in the Pirates 12-1 laugher over Arizona.

Chris Tillman threw 7 strong innings, allowing 3 hits and 2 runs. He would not factor into the decision as the Orioles fell 3-2 in 13 innings against Houston.

Julio Teheran struck out 12 Brewers over 7 innings, allowing 1 run and 3 hits. He would not get the decision as Atlanta’s bullpen dropped the game, 2-1.

Marcell Ozuna doubled twice and walked, scoring 2 runs in the Marlins 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay.

Coco Crisp  doubled and homered, driving in 3, but the A’s lost on a walk off homer, 6-5 in Seattle.
