Clayton Kershaw threw a complete game 3 hit shutout, striking out 14 Padres along the way in the Dodgers razor thin 1-0 victory.

Nolan Arenado singled, homered, drove in three and showed some solid defense in the Rockies 6-3 victory over the Diamondbacks.

Marcus Stroman pitched 8 innings, allowing 3 hits, 1 run and 9 strikeouts. He would earn the 5-1 decision for the Blue Jays over Tampa Bay.

Brett Lawrie went 3 for 3 with a homer to lead the White Sox past Baltimore, 7-1.

They all owned baseball on May 1, 2016.

Earning 1/2 WOBs in losing efforts.

Drew Pomeranz gave the Padres 7 strong innings, allowing 1 run and 3 hits but got a hard luck loss, 1-0, to the Dodgers.

Brandon Drury went 3 for 5 with a homer and a pair of runs scored but his Diamondbacks fell short of Colorado, 6-3.

Danny Salazar struck out 8 Phillies over 7 innings, allowing just 2 runs. He got the tough luck loss for the Indians, 2-1.

Alex Rodriguez hit a go ahead double and a go ahead homer but the Yankees blew both leads and the Red Sox completed the sweep, 8-7.
