Yandy Diaz reached base 4 times, including a homer, 2 RBI and 3 runs scored in the Indians 9-3 beating of Kansas City.

Marcell Ozuna homered twice, as the Cardinals took the 11-8 slugfest with Washington.

Justin Verlander threw 7 strong innings, striking out 8 Twins while letting up just 3 hits and 1 run to win the 5-2 game for Houston.

Robbie Ray threw a shutout into the 7th, finishing with 10 strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings as Arizona blanked San Diego, 6-0.

Wade LeBlanc threw 6 shutout innings, striking out 4 Orioles but Seattle’s bullpen would blow the lead and the game, 5-3.

Dereck Rodriguez held the Rockies to 1 run over 6 innings, striking out 6. He would get a no decision in the Giants 6-2 defeat.
