Madison Bumgarner threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits and struck out 5. He did not factor in the decision but the Giants blanked the Diamondbacks, 1-0.
Carlos Carrasco pitched the Indians a little closer to the AL Central title by striking out 11 Twins in 7 2/3 shutout frames en route to an 8-1 victory.
Jose Peraza went 4 for 5 with a homer, 2 RBI and 4 runs scored as the Reds out slugged Milwaukee, 9-7.
Craig Gentry collected 3 hits, including a homer, driving in 3, giving Baltimore a rare win, 12-5 over Toronto.

Felix Hernandez had one of his best outings of the year, throwing 7 innings, striking out 9 Padres, giving up only 2 runs. He was saddled with a hard luck 2-1 defeat for Seattle.
Christian Yelich homered twice, driving in 5 runs, but the Brewers fell short to the Reds, 9-7.
Randal Grichuk went 4 for 5 with a homer and a pair of RBI in the Blue Jays 12-5 loss to Baltimore.
