Madison Bumgarner took a no hitter into the 8th and finished with a 1 hit, 14 strikeout, complete game shutout masterpiece, earning the 4-0 decision over Arizona for the Giants.

David Price threw like an ace, going 8 shutout innings against his former team, the Rays, striking out 10 and allowing 4 hits as the Red Sox won, 4-0.

Christian Yelich went 3 for 5 with an RBI to help the Marlins top Cincinnati 7-3.

Jacoby Ellsbury reached base 3 times, including a homer, driving in 3 and helped the Yankees finish the first half at .500 by taking a wild 11-7 slugfest in Cleveland.

Earning 1/2 WOBs in losing efforts.

Steven Matz allowed just 3 runs over 7 strong innings but took the tough luck decision as the Mets fell to the Nationals again, 3-2.

Sean Manaea threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 5 hits and no walks. The A’s bullpen would let him down as they lost the 10 inning game, 2-1 in Houston.

Jose Reyes homered twice but the domestic abuser’s power was not enough for the Mets in their 3-2 loss to the Nationals.

Brett Eibner collected 3 hits, including a homer, driving in a pair, in Kansas City’s 8-5 defeat by Seattle.
