P – Jesse Hahn (vs. Houston Astros): $7,200. In 43 career at bats against Hahn, the Astros’ offense is batting .163 against Hahn, with one home run, three RBIs, 11 strikeouts, and a .217 OBP.

The Astros have the worst strikeout rate in baseball, so Hahn could put up quite a few K’s, which is a great source of points on DraftKings.

P – Gio Gonzalez (vs. Cincinnati Reds): $8,800. In 63 at bats against Gio, the Reds’ offense is batting .190, with two home runs, eight RBIs, 17 strikeouts, and a .264 OBP.

Gio Gonzalez has been very consistent in 2016, so he should be able to handle a struggling Reds’ offense. So far in 2016, Gio is 3-3, with a 3.57 ERA, 53 strikeouts, and 17 walks in 58 innings pitched.

Daily Fantasy MLB DFS Picks For DraftKings – 6/2/16

zz draft kings

Trey Rose (Featured BBBA Fantasy Baseball Writer/Owner – dynastydigest.sportsblog.com)

I will be flying to Arizona on June 1st, so I won’t be able to update my daily fantasy article with DraftKings’ prices. Due to this inconvenience,

I will list multiple players of interest for each position. This article was written using seasonal statistics compiled on May 31st.

If you have any questions or comments about this article or fantasy baseball, please Tweet me @dynasty_digest. Please follow my blog for daily updates on my daily fantasy baseball rosters for DraftKings (dynastydigest.sportsblog.com).

P- Madison Bumgarner (vs. Atlanta Braves): This is a must play on Thursday. One of the best pitchers in baseball is facing one of the worst offenses in the last few years. In 84 career at bats against Bumgarner, the Braves’ offense is batting g.262, with 13 strikeouts, one walk, and a .287 OBP.

P- Zack Greinke (vs. Houston Astros): This could be a great matchup for Greinke. The Astros are known for striking out a bunch, so this could lead to a lot of points on DraftKings.

It is worth noting that the Astros’ offense has been pretty hot recently, so it could be a risky play. In 87 career at bats against Greinke, the Astros are batting .299, with three home runs, 25 strikeouts, and a .315 OBP.

The Time To Buy On Byron Buxton Is Now

 Byron Buxton

BY (Featured BBBA Fantasy Baseball Website – rototargets.com)

Byron Buxton is back in the majors after really disappointing in his first stint earlier this year. Chances are, after hitting .163/.212/.306 in the majors earlier this year, his owner in your league might be willing to part with him at a reduced cost relative to his status as a top-3 prospect.

Yesterday in a chat at Fangraphs, August Fagerstrom had this to say about Buxton:

august fagerstrom: Reports out of Minnesota seem to indicate that Buxton actually looked different in AAA. Sometimes guys are a little more willing to try something different when the games “don’t matter.” Maybe he found something.

New Dodger Bullpen Arm?

los angeles dodgers 2016

Emily Siskin-Toy (Featured BBBA Fantasy Baseball Writer/Owner –behindenemylines32.blogspot.com)

The Dodger bullpen could soon be cutting off one beleaguered arm and replacing it with that of the team’s hot #4 prospect. I’m talking about Frankie Montas, the 23-year-old flame-thrower the Dodgers acquired from the Chicago White Sox last winter.

Montas seems well-recovered from his February rib bisection surgery, and looks ready to make the jump from AAA Oklahoma City when he is eligible to come off the 60-day D.L. the first week of June. In nearly two weeks split between AA Tulsa and OKC, Montas has compiled a 0.88 WHIP, struck out 9, walked 1, and has throw some high 90s heat (even hitting triple digits a few times).

It has been a small sample-size of only 4 games and 5.2 innings, but with the way Chris Hatcher and Pedro Baez have been throwing this year, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Dodgers cut one of these guys and give Montas a shot at helping revive the struggling bullpen. Hatcher should be on the chopping block first with his constant inability to get outs and his head looking totally out of order, but Baez is likely to get the bad news since he still can be optioned to the minors and Hatcher would have to be cut altogether (really, would this be so bad?).

The Night Johan Santana Threw the First No-Hitter in Mets History

The Night Johan Santana Threw the First No-Hitter in Mets History

Freddy Vazquez(Featured BBBA Fantasy Baseball Writer/Owner – metshotcorner.com)

The game is on, windows are open, and the fresh cool air was blowing off of Lake Ostego and into our small little room. Howie Rose’s voice filled the air and nervousness finally set in. The eighth inning had just begun and I was trying not to get too excited. You can’t help but wonder how you will react, how you plan on celebrating, how this could be one of the best nights of your life as a Mets fan. Three outs are made and the Mets are up to bat.

I turned on my Twitter app and started to read all of my fellow Mets fans’ tweets. The excitement was more than building, it was exploding! I love the fan loyalty, there really is no better fan base than ours. Point blank, no question, I dare you to challenge me. The feed wouldn’t stop refreshing but it didn’t matter – it was all Johan.

Howie comes back on the air and you never wanted a Mets inning to end so quickly. I was literally just hoping for three outs – I wanted the top of the ninth to start as soon as possible. The only thing I really remember at this moment was the cheering for Johan as he walked up to bat. They were even louder after he finally struck out and went back to the dugout. Andres Torres quickly made the third out and our dreams were to come true three outs later.

Trey Rose (Featured BBBA Fantasy Baseball Writer/Owner – dynastydigest.sportsblog.com)

In case you haven’t been following baseball news recently, Xander Bogaerts extended his hit streak to 24 games on Tuesday night. The Red Sox shortstop has been making headlines throughout the entire 2016 season. He is one of main reasons the Red Sox are currently 32-20 and in first place in the American League Central.

Throughout the first 50 games of 2016, Bogaerts is leading the American League in hits and batting average. He is currently batting .350, with 76 hits, six home runs, 30 RBIs, 42 runs, seven stolen bases, and a .401 OBP.

Daily Fantasy MLB DFS Picks For DraftKings – 6/1/16

Masahiro Tanaka

Trey Rose (Featured BBBA Fantasy Baseball Writer/Owner – dynastydigest.sportsblog.com)

If you have any questions or comments about this article or fantasy baseball, please Tweet me. I post daily DFS lineups for Draft Kings everyday, so please make sure to follow my blog.

P – Jaime Garcia (vs. Milwaukee Brewers): $8,400. Garcia is facing the 23rd ranked Brewers’ offense on Wednesday. In 131 career at bats against Garcia, the Brewers’ offense is only batting .191, with two home runs, 12 RBIs, 29 strikeouts, and a .230 OBP. In the past seven days, the Brewers’ offense has struck out 73 times, which is the third worst in Major League Baseball.

P-  Masahiro Tanaka (vs. Toronto Blue Jays): Tanaka will be facing the 24th ranked Blue Jays’ offense on Wednesday. In 81 career at bats against Tanaka, the Blue Jays are batting .198, with three home runs, seven RBIs, 27 strikeouts, and a .252 OBP. The Yankees are 6.5 games out of first place, so these divisional games are a must-win, which should have Tanaka fired up.

Before my son’s played a little league game, I remembered some of my highlights playing when I was a kid.

Mookie Betts, D. J. LeMahieu, Colby Lewis, Jose Fernandez, Lonnie Chisenhall, Jay Bruce and Jake Arrieta all added to their totals for Who Owns Baseball yesterday.
