Ichiro Suzuki reached base 5 times, including 4 hits, now 46 shy of 3,000 and helped the Marlins squeak past Washington, 3-2.

Mookie Betts got three hits, including two homers (one being a grand slam) as the Red Sox stopped the red hot Indians, 9-1.

Mike Leake threw 7 shutout frames, allowing 4 hits and earning the 6-2 decision for the Cardinals over the Diamondbacks.

Michael Fulmer struck out 11 Rays in 7 innings, giving up just 1 run and got the 5-4 win for Detroit.

They all owned baseball on May 21, 2016.

Brad Miller doubled and tripled in the Rays 5-4 defeat by the Tigers.

Alex Wood struck out 13 Padres and walked just one over six innings. The bullpen would blow his lead and the Dodgers fell in 11 innings, 3-2.

Matt Shoemaker threw 7 1/3 shutout innings, striking out 12 and allowing just 3 hits. The Angels bullpen would melt down and the Orioles won 3-1 in the 9th.
