Phil Hughes allowed only 2 runs over 7 strong innings but was a hard luck loser as the Twins fell to Washington, 2-0..

Ryan Braun went 3 for 5 with a homer and a pair of RBI in Milwaukee’s 10-6 loss to Philadelphia.

Ian Desmond reached base four times, homered and stole a pair of bases but his Rangers lost in extra innings to the White Sox, 4-3.
