Jered Weaver threw a complete game 6 hit shutout, walking none and striking out 6 Astros batters, earning the 2-0 Angels win.

Cole Hamels out dueled Harvey and finished with 7 innings, 1 run and struck out 8 Mets, boosting his trade value with a 3-1 win over the Mets in Philadelphia.

Ian Kinsler reached base 5 times, including a double and a bunt which forced the walk off error as Detroit took a tense 6-5 game over divisional rival Kansas City.

Bryce Harper went 3-5 with 2 more homers and 5 RBI, sparking Washington to a 9-2 thrashing of the Braves.

They all owned baseball on May 8, 2015.

Earning 1/2 WOBs in losing efforts.

Roberto Hernandez pitched into the 8th innings, finishing with 7 2/3 innings, 6 hits, 2 runs and no walks, but was a hard luck loser as Houston fell to the Angels, 2-0.

Jimmy Nelson struck out 11 Cubs batters and walked only 1 and allowed just 5 hits over 7 innings. Unfortunately for him, 3 of those hits were homers and the Brewers bullpen got hit hard, sparking a 7-6 Chicago win.

Alex Gordon went 3-4, scored a run, doubled and drove the go ahead run for the Royals in the 7th. The Tigers would come back, however, and walk off with the game 6-5.

Ryan Braun reached base 4 times, including a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 9th, scored 3 and doubled. But it wasn’t enough as the Brewers fell just short to the Cubs, 7-6.
