Stephen Strasburg pitched into the 8th, allowing just 5 hits and 1 run while striking out 7 Phillies in 7 1/3 innings. He warned the 4-1 decision for Washington.

Scott Van Slyke led the red hot Dodgers to a 7-0 drubbing of the Rockies with a pair of doubles and a homer, driving in 3 and scoring a pair.

Shane Greene gave the Tigers another solid start, going 7 innings, allowing just 1 run and improving his record to 3-0 in a 9-1 blowout of the White Sox.

Nelson Cruz got three hits, including a pair of homers and a walk off single, driving in 5 runs as the Mariners erased a 10-5 hole and walked off 11-10 winners over Texas.

They all owned baseball on April 19, 2015.

Earning 1/2 WOBs in losing efforts.

Mike Leake went the distance on the road for the Reds, allowing 4 hits and walking none in his 8 innings of work. But the Cardinals made him a hard luck loser in a 2-1 Sunday Night pitchers duel.

Giancarlo Stanton got a pair of hits including a double and an RBI single, scoring a run as well. The Marlins comeback attempt against the Mets fell just short, 7-6.
Scott Kazmir pitched into the 8th, allowing just 6 hits, 1 walk and 2 runs over 7 2/3 innings. But the Royals rallied against the A’s bullpen and won a hotly contested 4-2 game.
Steven Souza Jr. went 3-5 with a double and a homer driving in 3 but the Rays fell to the Yankees, 5-3.
