So we all received a bonus when the MLB decided to post its schedule early. For the benefit of those who don’t know my plan as yet. … I am planning on attending at least 1 baseball game a day at an MLB Park for the whole calendar season of 2015.
I will see many doubleheaders during this odyssey, I will be adding these to the list as the games start times become available.
After perusing this 2430 games schedule on the docket next year. I now have my tentative schedule.
I will be writing lots on the journey as the information becomes available….so stay tuned…
August MLB Interleague Results: AL Also 6 Wins Away From 11th Straight Year Clinch

The National League is on the verge of falling to the American League for the 11th straight season. Heading into play Saturday, with the only contest being Orioles @ Cubs, the AL holds a 145 – 123 advantage on the NL for the 2014 calendar year.
This is a decade plus of ownership of the Junior Circuit over the Senior Circuit.
The National League actually has not fared too badly in August so far, winning 28 out of 60 games.
For those people who don’t like Interleague all, there are no more days on the schedule this year with multiple games. In a lot of cases, they are not even games on the getaway days of Monday’s Thursday’s (which are the only 2 days to not have the 30 teams in action.)
Interleague has been a good thing for the game of baseball…. I would argue that the premise of playing teams that you don’t normally is good for the growth of baseball. Read the rest of this entry

Current Odds To Win The 2014 MLB World Series + Best Value Bets

An absolutely abysmal week for predicting which teams would jump on the leaderboard for odds.
Even though I did go 4 – 6 in the weeks prognostications, I pegged the massive loss for the Rockies.
This team plummeted from a +4000 to a +10000 odd to win the Fall Classic. I had the Indians (who skyrocketed from +8000 – +5500 by virtue of a 6 game win streak.)
The Reds also have a +5500 odd, as oppose to +6600.
The Jays are all the way up to tied for 5th on the favorite board, going from +1600 to +850.
Baltimore, Boston and New York all took drops in odds this week that were fairly minor. Read the rest of this entry
Record Corrections May Be Coming With Home + Road Splits: Then Again, Maybe Not

Coors Field is still a hitting haven. While the averages have all dipped approximately 10% since the Humidor was placed into the facility over a decade ago, it still remains the premiere place for any of the MLB’ers to bat. Some of the organizational players will not hit as good on the road, with playing in the NL West, in cavernous parks like Dodger Stadium, Petco Park and AT & T Park, however the weight will only affect their overall numbers away from the thin air. Historic players like Larry Walker and Todd Helton displayed good road numbers, despite their gawdy home statistics, however they will never be looked in the same eye. 2014 sees the Rockies lead massively in all categories at home, yet at this point, they have played 10 more games away from Denver. Among the players that are killing it at the park in 2014 are TULO and Charlie Blackmon.

If you look at the current home and road records in the MLB Standings, you will see some weird differentials.
Take for instance the Rockies have only logged 23 games at Coors Field, where they are a staunch 16 – 7, meanwhile they have traveled abroad for 33 contests so far, putting forth a clip of 12 – 21.
This is a 10 game difference that could see the ‘Rox’ post a 7 – 3 win-loss record when the games are made up. Read the rest of this entry
I Will Be Attending A MLB Game Live In All 183 Days Of Play In 2015 (30 MLB Parks)

In early 2012 I had this plan to venture out on a full season voyage of watching a game in all 30 MLB Parks.
What I ended up doing was breaking my own record for being present for every pitch in all games during a 30 MLB Parks odyssey in just 23 Calendar Days during April of 2012.
I had taken 7 full weeks (3 weeks after, and 1 week before) off of work to not only do this, but to rest up after a bad vehicular accident in 2010, in which a douchebag hit my car going 60 MPH while I was waiting to turn left into a shopping mall from – not moving at all.
From late 2010 until late 2011, I embarked on a brutal path to gain my senses recovering from a concussion.
It was the 8th one of these I had come across, but the 1st in nearly 15 years. Read the rest of this entry

Odds To Win The 2014 MLB World Series – Updated For Week 4

Wrigley Field is about the best all natural ballpark experience out of all of the 30 teams in the MLB – however the attendance has started to sag with the recent play of the franchise. Wrigley Field has seen a decline in fans attended every year since 2008, down from 3.3 Million fans in 2008, to 2.65 Million people in 2013 (only good for 7th out of 15 NL Teams). Today’s 100th birthday of the field should be the best game of the year at Addison and Clark.

Odds To Win The 2014 World Series
1. LA Dodgers +600
2. Detroit Tigers +700
T3. Washington Nationals +900 (Down from +700)
They have only really beat the Marlins all year, haven’t fared well against the great clubs,
T3. St. Louis Cardinals +900 (Down From +850)
Surprising a little they have come down a little, still will be able to catch Milwaukee. Poor start for Allen Craig and Jhonny Peralta should correct itself.

Gone are the days when baseball teams deliberately schedule two games in one stadium like teams used to do in past generations.
If there is not a postponed game for the duration of your team’s schedule, you will not even have this occurrence. I am here to tell that modern-day traveling has opened up possibilities for two games in one day for separate cities like never before.
For the extreme ballpark chasers, nothing is more exciting for a baseball fan when Major League Baseball posts the new season’s calendar. Usually the brass does this in mid-September.
On this post, I have gone through the MLB schedule with a fine-tooth comb, and have listed all Doubleheader Attempts that could be attended in 2014.

There are 2 games in Sydney Australia for people to watch over in North America.
Because the games are being played on Sat Night and Sunday afternoon there, you can actually watched 2 games in one day here.
If this weren’t weird enough, the Dodgers then fly across the world – to arrive in San Diego for the MLB opener on North America Soil on Sunday March.30/2014.
So if Los Angeles can go 2 – 1 – or 3 – 0 to begin the year, they may just hold onto the NL West for the rest of the campaign.

All 30 MLB Parks By Ground In 25 Days? 2014’s Only Attempt To Break The World Record: Part 2

Going for trips that include all 30 MLB Parks in under a month has become common place. There are a few select ballpark chasers that have tried every year for the last half-dozen. But seriously, this is the website to receive the best knowledge how to do these maniacal travel trips. This post contains a 25 day schedule that will make most people wince at the thought of it. If there are a few of you who are crazy enough to try this, it will change you forever.

So how does one plan for an all 30 MLB Parks trip in terms of geography, mileage, time zone changes and flipping through the 2014 MLB schedule in order to put forth a world record attempt of a 25 days itinerary?
Let me tell you, years of practice at this, and about 12 hours of crunching the computer.
When I set out to do this mission it was for my own personal know how.
A few friends and I have thrown out the idea of going for the World Record for fastest to see all parks by land (current record is 26 days).

All 30 MLB Parks By Ground In 25 Days? 2014’s Only Attempt To Break The World Record: Part 1

This 2 part blog is going to be a lot like the last entry I did on a proposed schedule to break my own record of witnessing a complete game (every solitary pitch for each contest) in all 30 MLB Parks in just 23 days.
in that blog, I put forth a schedule that may crack the feat by doing it all in just 21 calendar days.
For this entry, I have worked hard and to find a proper schedule attempt that could challenge the World Record of seeing all 30 MLB Parks in just 26 days by land.
I am talking about Josh Robbins 2008 feat of where he took home a new milestone, by trekking across to every stadium by car in just 26 days during that campaign. Read the rest of this entry
