Patrick Corbin struck out 9 Cubs over 7 innings, walking none and giving up 1 run to earn the 7-1 decision for Arizona.
Matt Chapman had 3 hits, including a homer, to lead a relentless Oakland attack to a 15-3 thrashing of the Rangers.
Rick Porcello threw 6 shutout innings to give the Red Sox a 5-3 win in Baltimore.

Daniel Poncedeleon threw 7 no hit innings, keeping the Reds scoreless. He was relieved after 7 and the Cardinals bullpen blew the no hitter in the 8th and the game in the 9th, 2-1.
Giancarlo Stanton reached base 5 times, scoring 2 and driving in 2 but the Yankees fell short in their comeback against the Rays, 7-6.
Heath Fillmyer pitched into the 7th, allowing 3 hits and 2 runs over 6 2/3 innings. The Royals bullpen imploded and the Tigers walked away with the 5-4 game.
