Why Our MLB DFS Strategy Is Working On FanDuel

We use at least one ace, one midleyvel and one bargain pitcher in Fanduel to create the pyramid scale effect on the positional players. Point blank, the more rosters we couple with the pitchers, the more variations we cover, potentially swaying a top roster for that will cash a high prize. If we connect on our team stacks and pitchers with a high reguarity, nothing should phase us from hitting a prize, as other lineups that go down, will see other come shooting up the other side. We never use the same lineup 2 times in our max entries contests.

Our new Draft Strategy For MLB Fanduel is now here.  Please read after the post.  You can use our formula for your own wanted and given stacks and pitchers.  This process wheels them all in alignment.

So we have been playing FanDuel with our new formula all year. and have had a profitable year with it.  Our daily posts have seen a lot of increases in views so thanks to all of the readers! MLB Daily Fantasy Sports is without a doubt the toughest thing to win at consistently, even for the best handicappers.

On Tuesday night was just another reason why our system gives a great chance to win a GPP tournament.

We rostered 9 teams to be wheeled in stacks with 4 Starting Pitchers.  We had the max amount of entries permitted in the $1 Sac Fly contest (150).

The best stacks of the night were the Rangers, Angels and Rays, with the pitchers that brought home great efforts being Aaron Sanchez and Jose Quintana.  We had those guys.  Unfortunately we also had a rainout in St. Louis effectively kill 25% of our rosters.

The weather and roster locks on FD make it even tougher to win money. Read the rest of this entry

@SullyBaseball Steps Up Again With An Incredible Tribute Video To People From Baseball’s Family Who Passed In The Recent Year

By Chuck Booth (MLB Reports Majority Owner)

For anyone that reads this article.  Paul Francis Sullivan (Sully, who does a daily podcast, and hasn’t missed one day since 10/24/12) has outdone his prior efforts to bring one of the best tribute videos (not just sports) to all of the people in baseball who we lost in the last year.  Sully has now done this 3 years running during ALL – Star Week.

No doubt there is countless hours and financial cost to produce one of these masterpieces.  This video is a must watch for anybody who is a fan of the game.  Please share this video as much as humanly possible to your networks, and take a second to remember those who are no longer with us anymore.

We will have this video on our homepage at mlbreports.com all year round until the next one comes out.

All we can say is thank you Mr. Sullivan for your fandom of the game.  This is the right thing to do, and should be seen by millions of people.

For Whatever League Wins The 2016 ALL – Star Game: Chances Are Home Field Wont Matter In The World Series Because Of The Dumb 2 – 3 – 2 Format

Chances are that whichever League wins this game tonight will actually plays less games at home in the World Series is more likely to happen, than a 7 game set in the World Series.

Chances are that whichever League wins this game tonight will actually plays less games at home in the World Series, as a 5 games Fall Classic  is more likely to happen, than a 7 game set in the World Series.

Hunter Stokes (Chief Writer/Part Owner)

Yeah I said it… and fully mean it.  This is my annual gripe of how the ALL – Star Game winner will likely not play more games at their home park because of the 2 – 3 – 2 format.  I am sure that a lot of people hate the fact the Midsummer Classic even determines home field advantage.

I actually don’t think the game meaning something is a bad idea.  I guess no one remembers that drab games we suffered from about 1995 – 2002 – where more players would exit the game and hop on a pending flight, than actually stayed?

For the most part,  the MLB has made nice changes to the ALL – Star Game.  Having the fans only vote on the starters, the players on the reserves, with the managers picking their pitchers.  I also like that Catchers can reenter the contest.

As for the league winner of this game and home field advantage for the Fall Classic. You are way more likely to a series go 5 games as opposed to 7.  It also baffles me how the team with a home field advantage for a series ever trails in games played at their venue.  There will be another follow up article near the playoffs in pertaining to this article.

The MLB should use a 3 – 3 – 1 format instead of the 2 – 3 – 2 as a counter, for this would be ideal to clone what clubs go through in the regular season.  Series of 3 are perfect.  I understand it is too hard with travel, to use the best series setup of 2 – 2 – 1 – 1 – 1. We are proud to present the winner of the Tony Gwynn Leadership Award to Oakland A’s Relief Pitcher Sean Dooittle, who narrowly edged OF Curtis Granderson of the New York Mets  by one mere vote.

This distinction goes to an outstanding individual in the MLB that reflects both a great leader in the game – but also off the field.

Thanks to all members who voted.   The other nominees were Clayton Kershaw, Brett Lawrie and Jeff Francoeur.

My 2016 MLB HR Derby Bracket Challenge: I Am Picking Giancarlo Stanton: Get Your Selections In

This is going to be an awesome HR Derby.  I am surprised to see that I had to google search that there was an actual bracket contest.  Bad marks for the MLB in not promoting the living bejeezus out of this contest.

I mean everyone loves to fill out a bracket for the NCAA March Madness.  The MLB really needs to keep the pedal to the medal on any chance they can to cash in on any publicity this might generate. They even have a sponsor in T-Mobile.

Before we get into the selections themselves, lets look at the odds to win the thing.

Odds to win the 2016 MLB Home Run Derby

Giancarlo Stanton, MIA,  +325
Mark Trumbo, BAL, +375
Wil Myers, SD, +550
Todd Frazier, CWS, +600
Adam Duvall, CIN, +600
Robinson Cano, SEA, +800
Carlos Gonzalez, COL. +800
Corey Seager, LAD, +900

just have to say that Dallas Keuchel, Josh Donaldson, Troy Tulowitzki, Giancarlo Stanton and Rickie Weeks saved our bacon from a sheer butt kicking Tuesday night.  Since we used such cheap pitchers, we were able to use Donaldson on 23 rosters out of 63, and liked Stanton so much we placed him on the same amount.  Since we had Dallas Keuchel, it made up for longshots Carlos Rodon and Mike Foltynewicz being so poor.  We almost broke even on the night.

It is another reason why the formula works.  We have the link at the top of every Fanduel Article and this page.  You have 30 – 63 Rosters, and you hope 2 – 3 have a chance to win on any night.  The more lineups we put in with stacks being wheeled, the more times a unique player comes up on the board with little ownership, that may go off and be the difference in winning a  GPP.

We like playing the $1 and $3 Sac Fly contests, because this system is situated for it.

Another rule of thumb is to have 10 or 12 players to have in mind for filling our rosters.  3 – 4 expensive players, 3 – 4 midlevel and 3 -4 bargains, that can be combined with the two team stacks per roster.  Use the, as much as you can.  If need be check the quick player replace to see how many times you have used a player once you have completed all of your lineups. The Cleveland Indians are only getting better with Zimmer and Frazier

Wayne Cavadi's avatarWayne Cavadi's Online Portfolio

The Cleveland Indians are red hot. The have an exciting young pitching staff, with an exciting double-play combo lighting things up atop their batting order. As they currently sit at 46-30 — amid an 11-game winning streak — with a commanding lead in the American League Central with the All-Star Break in sight, the best may actually be yet to come.

Centerfielder Tyler Naquin has played very well in his big league debut, and he is joined by nice pieces in Jose Ramirez and Lonnie Chisenhall in the Indians outfield, but they have two of the best outfield prospects in baseball working their way up the pipeline. Bradley Zimmer and Clint Frazier are learning the ropes side by side in Akron with the RubberDucks.

Frazier came to the Indians in 2013, when Cleveland drafted him fifth overall. After a solid half-season debut, the Indians were excited to see what the…

Why FanDuel Is My Preferred Game Of Choice For Our MLB DFS Strategy

The MLB Reports knows it is hard to put together a lineup when you receive your 'best' information so late from so called 'experts' in the industry. We intend to be innovators of doing this the earliest. Sure stuff changes overnight, however the base knowledge is there, and you can flip the intel around until lineup lock sets in.

BY Hugh Hawkins:

It is not a lie that I like the scoring system at Fanduel a lot better for how we run our rosters each day of 9, 15, 21, 50 or 63 rosters.  The key is to make sure you plunk down your money early on the $1 and $3 Sac Fly – in order to fulfill your entries limit needs.  We always go back when we have the time to fill each one out.

FanDuel also only makes you have one Starting Pitcher in the mix, while DraftKings makes you win 2.  Based on our formula, it is derived more off positional players going off, than it is for Starting Positions.  Anyways, with using 3 or 5 pitchers also has you roster 40 – 60 % of the a pitcher on the slate.  Should one pitcher blow up – it sinks all of your awesome work done on stacking teams.

If we have 3 pitchers – than one pitcher only represents 33.33% of our rosters, 5 pitchers is only 20% and 7 pitchers is about 14.3%.  It puts more onus on the hitters determining if you win or not, the whole reason to throw down on so many entries.

There are many of us implementing our system each day now, and we have been on the verge of raking in some big time prizes.  Since we use all of the guys on a team we stack for, if a lower named player goes off, or even 2 guys. that may be the difference in making a killing in a GPP tournament, as opposed to just doubling your money.

Yesterday was not a great day for us a group –  but we had Jose Fernandez on all of our $3 Sac Fly (21 Rosters) and our longshot TB stack had a lot of clubs with Oswaldo Arcia and Desmond Jennings.  We had those with Victor Martinez (2 HR’s), and Jose Fernandez’s 69 PTS he brought in.  We were siting in the top 10 all afternoon long until a late 0 for a combined 18 ABs at the end stifled us from winning a huge amount of dough. The Washington Nationals Reynaldo Lopez on fire in Double-A

Wayne Cavadi's avatarWayne Cavadi's Online Portfolio

Reynaldo Lopez has been one of the more exciting prospects on the Washington Nationals pipeline for a few years now. The problems that plagued him were in showing consistency in his electric stuff, leaving many to wonder in Lopez had a future in the rotation or as a back-end of the bullpen weapon.

He may finally be figuring it out, and answering that question in 2016.

Lopez was signed out of the Dominican Republic in 2012, when he was just 18-years old. His 2013 full-season debut was cut short after just 5.1 innings pitched with arm soreness. Unfortunately, those 5.1 innings weren’t pretty to hang hope on, as he was shellacked for 10 runs on 15 hits, seeing his fastball velocity drop to the 80s.

2014 would see Lopez break out between two levels. Starting in Auburn and finishing in Hagerstown, he posted a 7-3 record behind a 1.08 ERA…

New York Yankees prospect on the rise: Nestor Cortes

Wayne Cavadi's avatarWayne Cavadi's Online Portfolio

The New York Yankees have an interesting pitching prospect developing in the far depths of their farm system. He isn’t on anyone’s top prospect charts. He doesn’t blow you away with awe-inspiring stuff. But he also doesn’t allow runs to score; it is time to take notice of Nestor Cortes.

(UPDATE from the author: This article ran at Today’s Knuckleball over the weekend. Cortes was called up to Double-A Trenton on Sunday, skipping over High-A Tampa in what appears to be an as needed situation in the bullpen. He recored an four inning save, allowing two runs while striking out five. He is still slated to pitch in Charleston this week, so he may still return to Low-A. The analysis remains the same below, as Cortes is an exciting under-the-radar prospect.)

Cortes is the 21-year old left-handed Yankees pitching prospect making a name for himself in the Low-A Charleston…
