Mookie Betts singled, doubled, homered twice and made a spectacular catch to lead Boston past Philadelphia, 7-3.

Brandon Phillips collected 4 hits, driving in 3 and scoring 3 as the Braves crushed Washington, 13-2.

Francisco Liriano threw 7 strong innings, striking out 9 Rays and giving up 2 earned runs and 1 unearned run. He did not get a decision but the Blue Jays pulled out the game, 7-6.

Jhoulys Chacin allowed just 2 runs in 7 innings, striking out 4 Reds and getting the 4-2 win for San Diego.

Aledmys Diaz went 2 for 4 with a homer and a pair of RBI but the Cardinals fell short to Milwaukee, 7-6.

Corey Kluber struck out 10 Dodgers in 7 innings, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs. He would get a no decision as the Indians bullpen had a rare misstep and blew the game, 6-4.

Amir Garrett struck out 8 Padres in 6 innings, allowing 2 runs. He did not get the decision in Cincinnati’s 4-2 defeat.
