Steven Matz pitched 8 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7 Nationals to earn the 2-0 decision for the Mets.

Corey Kluber pitched into the 8th, finishing with 1 earned run and 1 unearned run, 1 walk and 9 strikeouts as the Indians moved closer to first with a 4-3 final over the White Sox.

Kris Bryant reached base 3 times, homered and drive on 3 and led the Cubs past St. Louis, 9-8.

Adam Lind reached 11 total bases with a double, a single and 2 homers, driving in 6 and led the Mariners to a 13-3 thrashing of the A’s.

They all owned baseball on May 25, 2016.

Dan Straily struck out 11 Dodgers in 7 innings and allowed just 3 hits and 1 walk. But he took the hard luck 3-1 loss for the Reds.

Matt Adams went 3 for 5 with a homer and 2 RBI but his Cardinals came up short in a 9-8 slugfest with the Cubs.

Logan Morrison got 3 hits including a homer, driving in all 3 of Tampa Bay’s runs in a 4-3 loss to Miami.
