Bartolo Colon gave the Mets 8 shutout innings, striking out 7 Braves and getting the 4-1 victory.
Brandon Crawford went 2 for 5, knocking in 4 and hitting a come from behind homer that propelled the Giants past the Reds, 9-6.
A.J. Griffin struck out 9 Blue Jays in 6 innings and allowed only 1 run, earning the 2-1 decision for the Rangers.
Robinson Cano got 3 hits, including a double, and scored a pair in Seattle’s 4-3 win in Oakland.
They all owned baseball on May 2, 2016.

Earning 1/2 WOBs in losing efforts.
Jon Gray struck out 11 Padres in 6 innings, allowing just 2 runs along the way. But he would out dueled and the Rockies fell, 2-1.
Jordy Mercer reached base 4 times, scoring a run, in Pittsburgh’s 7-2 defeat to the Cubs.
Edinson Volquez pitched into the 8th, finishing with 7 2/3 innings, letting up just 2 runs along the way. He would be on the wrong end of a 2-0 Royals loss to the Nationals.
Mike Trout went 4 for 5 with a homer, 3 RBI and a pair of runs scored but the Angels fell short in Milwaukee, 8-5.
