Earning 1/2 WOBs in losing efforts.

Jimmy Nelson did his part in a tense pitchers duel. He went 8 innings, giving up just 3 hits and 1 run. He got no decision in Milwaukee’s 2-1 loss to Cincinnati.

Roberto Hernandez gave the Astros 7 strong innings, letting up just 3 runs. But the Mariners squeaked by and made him a hard luck loser, 3-2.

A. J. Pierzynski reached base 4 times, including a double, and scored while calling a solid game. His Braves would lose to the red hot Mets, 3-2.

Dustin Pedroia singled and hit a go ahead 2 run homer. The Red Sox shaky pitching would collapse and Tampa Bay came back to win, 7-5.
