Here we go….Starting tonight, there is a season 7 games for Interleague in the next two days, and are several more game lists on the docket for the next 15 days (46 Games in all)..
Highlighted by tonight’s LA Series, the Battle of Ohio, the 2013 World Series, and MLB Trade Deadline dance partners BOS @ STL.
Yes, there also duds on the itinerary, as I am sure there are not too many people pining for a Astros @ Phillies series, or a Padres @ Twins, or even the Royals in the desert to take on the D’Backs,
The one other set of games to pique one’s interest is the Braves stumbling into Safeco Field on a 6 game losing streak – and having the daunting task to face Felix Hernandez this evening.
Good luck fella’s, a high strikeout team, facing the best AL Pitcher, (which is a rarity), and in one of the worst hitting ballparks with Seattle. This could be an ugly night.
The fans could not need air conditioning with the amount of wind generated by bats missing balls.
Los Angeles vs Los Angeles of Orange County/Disneyland.Santa Ana, or whatever they are calling themselves is a pivotal stretch of contests.
The Halos are currently trailing the A’s by one game in the AL West, while the Dodger Blue has a 1.5 Games lead on San Francisco.
The Angels took game of the series 5 – 0 last night. In by doing, gave the ‘Junior Circuit’ a 118 – 95 (.554) advantage for the year over the Senior Circuit – and stretched the lifetime lead to 2308 to 2083 (.526).
Here at the Reports we have a column on the home page, and also a dedicated page labeled Interleague 2014.
Some teams will need their Interleague to qualify for the postseason this year, and the American League has been beating up on the NL for 10 years consecutive.
The AL also leads the season wins series 13 – 4, and are pretty much a lock to nail down another campaign this season, leading by 23 wins heading into tonight.
The NL took an early 26 – 17 lead in May, but all of us here pointed out it was a lot of high talented National League Teams speedbagging on some of the teams struggling in the American League early on.
Since that time frame, the AL has rambled off a record of 101 – 69, for a win percentage of (.594) .
