Charlie Morton saw the Astros raise their World Series flag and responded with 6 innings of shutout ball, striking out 6 Orioles and earning the 6-1 decision.

Tyler Mahle allowed 1 hit over 6 shutout innings, fanning 7 Cubs, winning the 1-0 shutout for Cincinnati.

Hanley Ramirez singled and homered, scoring twice and driving in a pair to help the Red Sox past his old team, the Marlins, 7-3.

Bryce Harper reached base 5 times, homering, driving in 3 and scoring 3 as the undefeated Nationals rolled to an 8-1 crushing of the Braves.

Chad Green struck out 11 Blue Jays in 6 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits and no walks as the rebuilding Yankees won a razor thin 1-0 game in the Bronx.

David Phelps recorded 8 strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings and earned the 6-3 decision for the contending Marlins over Cincinnati.

Kevin Kiermaier reached base 4 times, homered and drove in 3 to lead Tampa Bay past San Diego, 8-2.

Wellington Castillo collected 4 hits, drove in 2 and scored 2 to help Arizona top the Mets, 10-6.

Trevor Bauer came out of the bullpen the day before he was supposed to start and threw 5 shutout innings with the game on the line for almost all of his 83 pitches. Bauer got the decision for Cleveland’s 14th straight victory, a 19 inning 2-1 final in Toronto.

Victor Martinez homered twice in the Tigers’ 10-2 thrashing of Tampa Bay.

Jaime Garcia threw 8 strong innings, allowing 1 run and 4 hits, getting the 7-1 win for the Cardinals over Milwaukee.

Marcell Ozuna collected 4 hits including a homer in the Marlins wild 7-5 extra inning win in Atlanta.

Who Owned Baseball April 22, 2016 (Daily MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2016 #WOB Standings

Curtis Granderson hit two homers, including a grand slam, and added another hit to lead the Mets past Atlanta, 6-3.

Mookie Betts singled, doubled and tripled twice to spark the Red Sox to a 6-2 victory in Houston.

Jeff Samardzija pitched into the 8th, finishing with 1 earned run over 7 2/3 innings. He also singled and doubled, driving in 3 to help the Giants snap a skid and top the Marlins, 8-1.

Jose Quintana threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits and earned the 5-0 win for the White Sox against Texas.

They all owned baseball on April 22, 2016.
