Jeff Samardzija threw 8 innings, allowing 1 unearned run and struck out 11 Dodgers. He did not get the decision but helped set up the Giants 4-1 victory in 11.

Nathan Karns allowed just 1 hit over 6 shutout innings, fanning 7 White Sox hitters as the Royals prevailed, 6-1.

Ian Desmond homered twice and drove in 3 to help the Rockies club San Diego, 11-3.

Carlos Correa got 4 hits, including a homer, as the Astros blew out Texas, 10-1.
