Truth is, Verlander just dominates the Yankees. Earlier in the season he went 8 strong innings before getting pulled and then we saw Ken Giles give up a long ball and punch himself in the head. Verlander’s only downside is that it’s at Yankee Stadium. He could be golden for 6+ innings at 8+ strikeouts.

It’s not that I like Junis as a pitcher, it’s that this Memorial Day there aren’t that many pitchers that have plus matchups that could help your roster by saving money and allowing you to get some more bats in there.

I still hate the fact that he cut his hair. Did he give it to a charity? I hope so. Baseball-wise he has a matchup against the Braves that he has held down in the past. Couple that with the injury to Acuna, if New York can put up some runs on the board, I like deGrom’s chances at the W.
