Who Owned Baseball August 24, 2017 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2017 #WOB Standings

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports
Yandy Diaz missed the cycle when his second double hit the top of the wall, inches away from a homer. He settled for reaching base 5 times, scoring 4 times, singling, tripling and doubling twice with a pair of RBI as the Indians crushed Boston and Sale, 13-6.
Christian Yelich got on base 4 times, homered and scored 3 times to help the Marlins win a wild 9-8 game with Philadelphia.
Martin Perez threw 7 shutout innings as the stunning comeback of the Rangers continued with a 3-0 blanking of the Angels.
Stephen Strasburg struck out 7 Astros in 6 innings of 3 hit shutout ball. He did not get the decision but the Nationals won in extra innings, 5-4.

Tommy Joseph got 3 hits including a homer, driving in 3, but the Phillies were outslugged by the Marlins, 9-8.
Dallas Keuchel allowed 4 hits, 2 earned runs and 1 earned run over 7 innings but did not factor in the decision in the 5-4 Houston loss.
