Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Masahiro Tanaka worked around first inning troubles and two rain delays to throw 6 strong innings, allowing 1 earned run and 1 unearned run while striking out 7 Tigers. The Yankee bats were shutout and he was on the wrong end of a 2-0 decision.

Jake Arrieta allowed 3 hits and 1 run over 7 innings but took the hard luck 3-0 Cubs loss to Arizona.

Tim Anderson singled and tripled but the White Sox fell to Toronto, 5-1.

Cody Bellinger singled and homered in the Dodgers 5-3 defeat by the Braves.
