Ricky Nolasco threw a complete game 3 hit shutout, striking out 7 Mariners for the 4-0 Angels victory.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Clint Frazier homered in his big league debut and added another hit. But the Yankees bullpen melted down and blew the 7-6 game to Houston.

Paul Blackburn made his big league debut memorable. He allowed 1 unearned run over 6 innings, surrendering 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4 Braves. He would not get the decision as Oakland’s bullpen dropped the 4-3 final.

Tommy Joseph went 2 for 5 with a homer and 4 RBI but the Phillies dropped the 7-6 final to the Mets.

Gio Gonzalez allowed 2 hits and 1 run over 7 solid innings, striking out 9 Cardinals. But he would take the hard luck 2-1 loss for Washington.
