Joey Gallo singled and hit a 3 run homer, driving in 5 altogether, leading the Rangers to an 8-1 thrashing of Oakland.

Jake Arrieta struck out 10 Brewers in 7 innings, allowing only 3 hits and 2 walks and earned the 7-4 victory for the Cubs.

Ervin Santana pitched 6 innings of 2 hit shutout ball as the Twins continued their hot start with a 4-1 win over the White Sox.

Robinson Cano doubled and homered, driving in 5. But the Mariners had an epic meltdown in the 9th and lost 10-9 to the Angels.

Julio Teheran allowed no earned runs and 2 unearned runs over 7 innings, striking out 7 Pirates. He would get a no decision as the Braves dropped the game in the 10th, 6-5.

Hisashi Iwakuma held the Angels to 2 hits and 1 run over 6 strong innings. The Mariners bullpen totally collapsed and gave the 10-9 game away in the bottom of the 9th.
