Nelson Cruz hit 2 HRs to increase his MLB and AL lead to 19 for the year. He also put forth his 2nd Multi HR game, and 5th different consecutive HR streak of the year.
Cruz is on pace for 60 HRs as of now, the Orioles OF has also increased his RBI lead in the AL to 48.
He also leads the AL in SLG% (.663) OPS (1.039) and TB (128)
George Springer hit his 6th HR in as many games, and narrowly missed having a 6 game HR streak by not clubbing a Tater Trot the game previously.
Teammate Chris Carter nailed 2 shots over the wall for his a Multi HR Game.
These 2 gents have helped carry the Astros to a 5 game win streak, and are now 22 – 32.
Josh Donaldson hit his 13th HR to enter the top 5 of the AL HR race again.
Khris Davis (spelled with a K over course) hit a HR in each game of the series – and now has a 3 Game HR streak – to have 9 big flies on the year.
Tommy Medica hit a HR for the 2nd straight game, increasing his total to 3 for the year.
Martin Prado also has hit HRs in consecutive games, which is funny because he only has 2 HRs on the year, and those are in the last 2 games.
Torii Hunter hit a HR for the 2nd straight contest, and already is the holder of a 3 game HR streak earlier this year.
Edwin Encarnacion had his 3rd 3 Game HR streak of the month end, but his club won their 9th game in a row, and he still had 2 RBI in the match.
None of the NL top 5 HR leaders cracked a jack last night.
