The Orioles defied the odds with a 29 – 9 One run games record and a record streak of Extra Innings Wins that reached the teens last year. In a vaunted AL East – Vegas has only predicted them as about a 77 win team this year. So far the team has started 42 – 35 – and are tied for the 2nd Wild Card slot in the American League with the Yankees. Many pundits, such as myself, have blasted the brass for not adding on a Starting Pitcher. It may end up costing them a playoff spot. Please Mr. Duquette – acquire a top notch starter and be prepared to give up a lot in return. It is not every year you have three guys with MVP Caliber seasons – with Davis, Jones and Machado.
You guys are all in for a treat. Jeff Kleiner recently contacted me about a partnership merge for the website. He has developed a site (prosportsrosters.com) that covers all organizational affiliates in the Minors for all of the Major League Baseball Clubs. We are going to combine efforts to bring you the best look at salaries, current 25 Man Player Rosters and Depth Charts for all 30 teams.
Jeff is going to provide the documents in form of spreadsheets and I am going to accompany the posts with deep analysis of what the numbers tell us from my perspective. If you can’t wait for all of my assessments for each club, go and visit Jeff’s website over at http://www.prosportsrosters.com.
In Speaking with Jeff, he is one of the more passionate fans I have come across towards the game of baseball. He spends enough time in updating his MLB Facts for it to be a Full-Time Job. So after the usual Video Clip and READ THE REST OF THIS ENTRY button, you will find some serious &*!@?!#!

2012 Wild Card Celebration
Chris Davis was the hitter of the month for the MLB Reports in May. The guy has 27 HRs, 70 RBI and 24 – 2B on the season to go along with a 3 Slash of .330/.406/1.112. He is on pace for a 50 HR/ 50 Doubles Season. “Crush” is due for Arbitration after this year – and will garner a considerable payraise from the $3.3 MIL he will earn this season. Pretty good trade to acquire this man for an 8th inning guy like Koji Uehara!
The Baltimore Orioles have a lot of talent coming up in Dylan Bundy, Kevin Gausman and Jonathan Schoop. The team will probably lose J.J. Hardy in the offseason to create a spot for Schoop on the big club.
The Orioles are poised to compete for a second straight playoff appearance – and may very well be the best offense in the AL East.
Much like the Tigers, the team has had a glaring weakness that the management hasn’t addressed.
You must attempt to trade for one of the following guys: Yovani Gallardo (has playoff experience), Matt Garza (AL East and Playoff Experience), Jake Peavy (can beat anyone if stuff is on), James Shields (if KC fades, offer a trade to entice), If Cliff Lee is available I would trade anyone (including Bundy and Schoop). You want to play with the big boys – it is time to step it up.
While you are at it, you may want to acquire a DH type of hitter: Paul Konerko and Adam Dunn (yes, he still can influence a game with a big swing), Alfonso Soriano.
This is not to say that the Management and Buck Showalter haven’t done an incredible job because they have! It is just time to take it to the next level while the Jays and Rays have struggled a little – and the Yankees and Red Sox have definite shortcomings.
Adam Jones had his 4th straight improved season for overall numbers in 2012 while hitting .287 with 32 HRs, Driving in 82 RBI and scoring 103 Runs. In 2013, he is on pace for a 5th straight year – with a .300 BA, 31 HRs, 114 RBI and 110 Runs Scored. He is also on pace for over 200 hits – which is important considering he only has a .322 OBP for this campaign. Having signed a big contract of 6 Year/ 85 Million Dollar Contract recently, he will need to show a steady improvement going forward. Manny Machado, Chris Davis and he are the main reasons why the club is sniffing around 1st place in the AL East.

Jeff Kleiner: “I have been a sports fan since the first Baseball game I went to at Comisky Park in Chicago in 1959, when baseball for me turned from black and white to color. I have attended or watched thousands of games, always paying attention to statistics, rosters and salaries of all professional sports.
Luckily I had the advantage of watching WGN TV and seeing hundreds of games in the 60’s. Collecting Baseball Cards and then later dealing them gave me an extra sense of the sport, both good and bad.” For all of your Salaries, Roster and Depth Charts for all 4 Major Sports (entire organization – Minors and Majors) click here or Follow Me on twitter Follow @prosportsroster
