Eduardo Escobar reached base 3 times, including a solo homer, in the Twins 9-8 slugfest loss to Cleveland.

Odrisamer Despaigne gave the Marlins 4 1/3 innings of relief, allowing 2 earned runs and striking out 4. The damage had been done early in San Diego’s 8-3 win.
