Scooter Gennett had the game of his life, going 5 for 5 and matching the MLB single game record of 4 home runs, driving in 10 runs along the way, to lead Cincinnati in a 13-1 dismantling of the Cardinals.
Max Scherzer dominated the Dodgers, throwing 7 innings, allowing no earned runs, 3 hits and 14 strikeouts to earn the 2-1 victory for Washington.
Mike Moustakas went 4 for 5, homered and drove in 3 as the Royals came from behind to beat the Astros, 9-7.
Jesse Hahn allowed 1 unearned run while scattering 7 hits and a walk over 6 innings to get the 4-1 win for the A’s over the Blue Jays.
