For the last several years my buddy Josh Robbins and I have come up with ways to beat our individual world records for ballpark chasing.
My record is all 30 MLB Parks (every pitch) in just 23 Calendar Days. I accomplished this feat in 2012. You can read about that trip here. After scouring the MLB Schedule for 2016, there is not even an attempt to try for the record this season.
Unless it changes, it will be another campaign I will sip (Gas Monkey Cinnamon Tequilla) as the world record holder for another year.

I will have a shot of tequilla for every year I am still the world record holder for “The Fastest 30 Ball Games, ” just like the 1972 Dolphins celebrate when the last team loses in the NFL Schedule every year.
Josh’s 30 – 26 world record (all by land) is almost impossible to beat as well, but we figured out a creative way to at least attempt the maneuver in 2016.
It would take a miracle to nail this down, but could be done with a couple of drivers going all out by car.
There are 5 doubleheader attempts in 25 days, and one retroactive game. A few times, the next game will be about t
JULY 21 BOS 7:05. (retroactive game, can be made as Game #1 should a doubleheader fail with Citi Field and Fenway Park on Aug.11). Is 439 Miles to Washington after.
JULY 22 WSH 7:05. Just a 38 Mile drive from Nats Park to Camden Yards afterwards.
JULY 23 BAL 7:05. There is 508 Miles between Camden Yards and Great American Ball Park.
JULY 24 CIN 1:10. The distance between GABP and Globe Life Park In Arlington is 951 Miles. You gain one hour for time zone change.
JULY 25 TEX 7:05. The gap on the road for The Ball Park In Arlington and US Cellular is 940 Miles.
JULY 26 CWS 7:10. From the southside of Chicago to PNC Park is 456 Miles. You lose one hour going back to Eastern Standard time.
JULY 27 PIT 12:45./CLE 7:10. only 133 miles separates PNC Park and Progressive Field. There is a 447 mile journey to Miller Park after. An hour is gained going to central time from eastern time.
JULY 28 MIL/CHC 1:10/7:05. Miller Park to Wrigley Field is about 100 Miles. The trek from Wrigley Field to Turner Field is 740 Miles. You do lose one hour going back to the eastern time zone.
JULY 29 ATL 7:10. In the last year of Turner Field’s existence, a drive of 447 Miles long to Tropicana Field is in store after.
JULY 30 TB 7:10: From Tropicana Field to Marlins Park is 265 Miles.
JULY 31 MIA 1:10: A huge drive to Minute Maid Park is right after the game in Miami, but you will have around 28 hours to make the 1185 Miles. You gain one hour from Eastern time to Central time.
AUG 1 HOU 7:10: Another epic jaunt will see 1175 Miles covered by the road. You gain 2 hours in the time zone changes
AUG 2 ARI 6:40: An easier trip from the desert to San Diego calls for 356 miles.
AUG 3 SD/LAA 12:40/7:10. The Petco Park/Angel Stadium is a tough drive but makeable at 100 Miles. This is another hardcore drive from Los Angeles to Seattle (1734 Miles). It is a long maneuver up Highway 5, but is doable.
AUG 4 SEA 7:10. Seattle to Oakland is 800 Miles and takes 12 hours.
AUG 5 OAK 7:10. Oakland to Los Angeles is around 400 Miles and takes 6.5 Hours.
AUG 6 LAD 6:10. A crazy trip of 1021 Miles and 15+ hours comes from LA to Coors Field, and you lose one hour. Should be a tight move here.
AUG 7 COL 2:10. After a Sunday game at Coors, an easier drive of 600 Miles from Coors to Kauffman happens next. Another hour is lost in the trip back to Central time.
AUG 8 KC 7:10. Following the game with the World Series Champs, only 243 miles is needed to hit Busch Stadium.
AUG 9 STL 7:15. The game at Busch will be followed with a 528 Mile drive to Detroit’s Comerica Park. You lose one hour back to EST.
AUG 10 DET 7:08. a 627 Mile drive to Citi Field is next.
AUG 11 NYM/BOS. 12:10/7:10: This will be harder than it looks. Traffic is brutal from Queens, NY to Fenway Park. Hopefully there will be a fast NL Game at Citi Field. It is 203 hard miles. AN international border is worth a 543 MILE DRIVE to the Rogers Center.
AUG 12 TOR 7:07. After watching Canada’s only club play – there is a 470 Miles trip to PHL/30th st amtrak station afterwards.
AUG 13 NYY/PHI 1:05/7:05 – This is a very doable doubleheader by using an Amtrak Acela express train. The subway from New York to Penn Station, and an Uber driver from Philly 30th street station to the park. You would be smart to have driven to park the car in Philly already in the AM hours.
AUG 14 MIN 1:10 IF 3 HOUR GAME 1179 MILES I6 HOURS DRIVE FROM PHI, GAIN HOUR (16 HOURS TO USE)
AUG 15 SF 7:15 1964 MILES 27 HOUR DRIVE GAIN 2 HOURS IF 3 HOUR GAME (29 HOURS TO USE) Going from a Sunday game to a Monday game is a critical move here for this epic finale of a drive. If this game is missed, at least the Giants play the next day.
The whole trip is 18, 202 Miles and carries out 6 trips of more than 1000 Miles traveled in a 24 hour time window. The Giants home schedule in July and August really made the schedule almost impossible. I can honestly say that the Minnesota to San Francisco trip is possible. I completed a Milwaukee to Colorado drive, followed by a Denver to Seattle drive 7 hours later after that. It could be done with 2 drivers, as that was also around 2400 total miles.
In 2008, Josh Robbins completed the journey to every MLB stadium in 26 days utilizing only land travel. Thanks to the help from eight different friends and family members who shared the 14,212 miles of driving.

When I was in RF Bleachers at Fenway Park one time, I also was able to meet up with Larry Lucchino..
