Yesterday we went over the World Series Odds.  Since I have the Nationals as a heavy favorite, I think the best way to receive a win for any AL clubs, is to bet the team to win the Pennant.

The Angels are listed as the #1 favorite to win the American League at +500.  If you like them (even though I wouldn’t wager on them), this is a much better risk, than the +1000 mark for the World Series.  If the Dodgers or Nationals are their adversary in the Fall Classic, that is at least a +125 odd for the Halo’s to reel in their 1st Title in 13 years.

Since I love the Mariners more in the AL West, obviously I love the +700 odd they have right now to win the Junior Circuit. 

Pulling up the rear in the AL, are the Twins at +5000 to win the Pennant.  If you like the Royals to play good in 2015 as well, they are +1200 to win the American League in 2015 on this site, while bet365.com was offering just +1800 for a World Series triumph.  That is good value.

Over in the Senior Circuit, the Nats are incredible favorites at +275.  Hey.. These guys are listing Washington at +650 today (as opposed to +550 on bet365.com, so that is a nice value move for the Matt Willlams squad.)

If you like the severe longshots, the Phillies at +15000 to win the National League in 2015.

For the record, the Cubs/Padres at +800 to win the NL, and the White Sox to win the AL at +850 are the worst preseason value odds I have come across yet in my travels.  These teams are not going to win the LCS, and if they do, they do, you are better off wagering on them to win the World Series.  They are all at +2000 or more for that distinction

My top 3 bets for LCS wins.

American League

1, Tigers +700 ( A little more confident in them because of the strength of schedule).

2, Mariners +700

3. Oakland A’s  +1500 (nice value there)

National League

1.  Brewers +3000.  This is a great odd considering that most gambling sites have them +4000 or +4500 to win the WS.

2.  Braves +3000.  Same reason as Milwaukee. Their Bullpen is still good, and they could trade some players for a few bats midway through the season,

3.  Dodgers +400.  Despite my belief in the Nationals owning the NL, if LA wins the National League, they would be favorites vs any AL club in the best of 7 series.  Considering they are +700 for the World Series, the +400 mark is nice value.
