In this post, which we are also going to feature in a Subpage at the site called ‘Shutout Survivor’, we will document who wins this race for all 30 MLB Teams, meaning we will state the date a teams gets Shutout for the 1st time of the year.

After the games on Apr.08, there are 12 teams taken out of this competition.  The AL still has 10 teams remaining in this and the NL has 8.  The NL Central only has Pittsburgh alive.

The AL Central only has seen Kansas City eliminated, while the AL West hasn’t lost a team since the A’s were blanked on Mar.31st.

Should be a great contest to see who can be the last team to score zero runs in a game,

BTW, Pittsburgh has gone though 9 innings in a game without scoring, but won the PNC opener Mar.31st vs the Cubs, essentially knocking them out with a walk off 1 – 0 victory via a HR.

Neil Walker WALK OFF HR – Opening Day PNC Park

The Jays have managed to even their record in 2014 to 4 - 4. They have scored between 2 - 5 runs themselves - and have knocked division rivals the Yankees and Tampa from this competition by bageling them in separate games. The offense isn't quite there, yet it has been okay - while the pitching is coming along since a 9 - 2 defeat in their opener at Tropicana Field against the Rays. Toronto starts the day just 0.5 Games Behind the Tampa Bay Rays for the division lead.

The fans at Kauffman have the longest playoff drought of any MLB franchise. They should have a better offense so far in 2014 - than scoring just 20 runs. Luckily for them they were not Shutout until last nights contest versus the Rays. Worse yet, is that the club left the bases loaded 3 times without scoring. Mike Moustakas did break his 0 - 21 slump too for the campaign. Things must improve for KC to take a run at in the AL Central this year.

About chuckbooth3023

I played competitive baseball until 18 years old and had offers to play NCAA Division 1 University Baseball at Liberty University. Post-concussion symptoms from previous football and baseball head injuries forced me to retire by age 19. After two nearly made World Record Attempts in 2008, I set a New World Record by visiting all 30 MLB Parks (from 1st to last pitch) in only 24 Calendar Days in the summer 0f 2009. In April of 2012, I established yet another new GWR by visiting all 30 Parks in only 23 Calendar Days! You can see the full schedule at the page of the www.mlbreports.com/gwr-tracker . In 2015, I watched 224 MLB Games, spanning all 30 MLB Parks in 183 Days. Read about that World Record Journey at https://mlbreports.com/183in2015/229sked2015/
