Odds To Win The 2013 MLB World Series, Plus Odds To Win The NLCS + ALCS Matchups

Its funny how one Anibal Sanchez Start can sway your opinion. While I am still picking Boston to win the ALCS, you should wait til after Game #3 to see if Verlander wins, then you can bet some money on the Red Sox to win the ALCS, when they are underdogs. Right now, they are both about even. Both of the Tigers and Red Sox are +240 to win the World Series.

Wainwright has been money in the bank since the club acquired him. He is 99 – 57 (.635) with a 3.11 ERA. Wainwright will be considered for another NL Cy Young, which will likely mean a top 5 vote for the 3rd time in 4 years. The RHP has led the NL in wins 2x (2009 and 2013). He also has a 4 – 0 mark in PostSeason – with a 2.03 ERA in time as a Closer – and as a Starting Pitcher.
Odds To Win the NLCS Game #3 Monday Oct.14/2013 – 8 PM EST
St. Louis Cardinals -113 (Adam Wainwright) @ LA Dodgers +129 (Hyun-Jin Ryu)
STL leads Series 2 – 0
Odds To Win the ALCS Game #3 Tuesday Oct.15/2013 – 4 PM EST
Boston Red Sox +140 (John Lackey) @ Detroit Tigers -155 (Justin Verlander)
MLB Reports Picks Verlander
Series Tied 1 – 1

While Justin Verlander has been lights out during the ALDS Round the last 3 years, (4 – 0 with a 1.79 ERA in 7 GS), he has a 4.32 ERA, in spite of his 3 – 1 record, spanning 25 IP. He is even worse in the World Series – featuring a 7.32 ERA over 15 IP in 2 GS. Having said this, he has been filthy in these playoffs – and is carrying 15 Scoreless Innings versus the Oakland A’s. Take the Ace versus John Lackey in Game #3.
