Who Owned Baseball Yesterday (June 18th) – Updated Yearly “WOB” Standings
Matt Harvey held the Braves hitless for the first 6 innings and would up letting up 3 hits in 7 innings, striking out 13 as the Mets held on to a 4-3 win over Atlanta and eventually sweeping a double header.
Felix Doubront did not get the win. But he pitched 8 shutout innings, retiring the final 17, as the Red Sox won 3-1, sweeping the double header against Tampa Bay.
Matt Dominguez went 2-3, driving in 5 including a grand slam as the Astros clobbered Milwaukee 10-1.
And Brandon Belt went 3-4 and tied the game with an 8th inning double and came around to score the winning run as the Giants stopped the Padres winning streak with a 5-4 win.
They all owned baseball on June 18th, 2013.
