Rob Ducey returns on The Chosen Journey to talk baseball. One of Jonathan’s favorite baseball movies of all time is Mr. Baseball.  It turns out that was the movie that inspired Rob Ducey to research and go play baseball in Japan with the Nippon Ham Fighters. Rob played baseball with many MLB greats, including Ken Griffey Jr, Vladdy Guerrero Jr. and Jose Canseco. Rob Ducey shares many baseball stories and jokes along the way.

In part 1 of a 3-part series, Rob Ducey shares his stories and insights on baseball and life. Rob currently coaches high school baseball and shares his thoughts on youth baseball. Imagine, as a youngster, Rob was not eligible for the MLB draft as a Canadian. From making his MLB debut in 1987 to his last game in 2001, Rob loved every minute and played the game with a smile on his face.

Terry Francona has done it all and seen it all in the world of baseball. As a 2nd generation baseball player, Terry won the 1980 Golden Spikes Award. A first-round pick of the Montreal Expos, Francona went on to play and coach for several teams, including coaching Michael Jordan in the White Sox minor league system. He won 2 World Series with the Boston Red Sox (including breaking the famous Bambino Curse). Francona is also the winningest manager in the history of the Cleveland Indians/Guardians franchise. And will Terry Francona one day be enshrined in Cooperstown?
