Stephen Piscotty missed the cycle by a double, driving in 2 and scoring 3, leading the Cardinals past the Giants, 11-6.
Doug Fister allowed a first inning run and then shutout the Yankees for the next 6, finishing with 1 run, 7 innings, 4 hits and 1 run as the Red Sox won, 4-1.
Jimmy Nelson struck out 11 Nationals in 7 shutout innings and earned the 1-0 decision for the Brewers.
