Mark Canha was a single short of the cycle and finished the game off with a walk off homer as Oakland beat Boston in 10, 3-2.

Jose Quintana allowed 1 hit and 1 run over 8 innings, striking out 7 Mariners. He would not get the decision but the White Sox prevailed in 10, 2-1.

Jake Lamb reached base 3 times, homering twice and driving in 5 to help the Diamondbacks blow out the Padres, 10-1.

Jacob deGrom threw 7 shutout innings, struck out 9 Angels and allowed only 4 hits to give the Mets a much needed 3-0 win.

Matt Holliday went 2 for 4 with a homer and 2 RBI in the Yankees 5-4 loss to Tampa Bay.

Chris Sale tied a record of 8 straight games of striking out 10 or more batters, fanning exactly 10 Oakland batters over 7 frames, giving up 2 runs. He would not get a decision as the Red Sox fell in 10 innings, 3-2.

Dexter Fowler reached base 3 times, homering and driving in 3, but the Cardinals bullpen blew the lead to the Giants in the 6-5 final.

Michael Wacha did not allow a run over 6 strong innings against the Giants. But San Francisco would come back in the 9th and beat the Cardinals, 6-5.
