Game #3 Cancelled For 183 in 2015.

This post wont come with any pictures or blurbs about stats.  I only found the game was going to be cancelled today about 3:30.  I have been traveling over 3500 Miles since leaving Canada on Thursday.

If this were a short streak,I would have run to the nearest National Car Rental and gunned it to Milwaukee.  Here is the thing.  Is this any different than what a player goes through?

It would have been nice to keep the streak alive for another day, but with being on the east for the 1st 2 months, I fully expect another weather cancellation coming down the pike soon.

One has to look at finances some times, and really decide if it is worth it.

Also is the fact I haven’t slept in a bed in nearly a week, and have 4 doubleheaders scheduled in the next 5 days.

Yesterday also gave me one of the toughest days of ballpark chasing either, testing both my mental psyche and patience.

I made it to the ballpark still today.  Whether it was cancelled due to weather or lack of plumbing, we may never find out..

The game will be listed officially as a cancel for me.  I highly doubt to see the makeup game either.  I am only happy that Miller Park has a roof on it for the second part of the day tomorrow.

Nake Laloosh put it best in Bull Durham, stating:  “sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes it rains..

Maybe the Cubs are joining the fraternity with the A’s for severe plumbing problems. At least they could say they are renovating.

Which brings me to something funny that just made me laugh about baseball…

I remember an interview someone did with John Kruk (might have been Rob Dibble) and he asked him about players naming their kids weird names about the same time David Wright named his kid SHEA.  To which he replied “I definitely wouldn’t name my kid Plumbers.”  Fantastic bit from him and almost as funny as him saying “I am going to take my ball, and go home” after losing one to testicular something.  Of course whenever you think of Kruk, the AB vs Randy Johnson in the ALL-Star Game still has me bellowing in laughter.

With that.  I can catch up on some much-needed rest, and hit the ground running for the whole rest of the year.  We are still putting a number on the board for Games Viewed, that will be historic!

About chuckbooth3023

I played competitive baseball until 18 years old and had offers to play NCAA Division 1 University Baseball at Liberty University. Post-concussion symptoms from previous football and baseball head injuries forced me to retire by age 19. After two nearly made World Record Attempts in 2008, I set a New World Record by visiting all 30 MLB Parks (from 1st to last pitch) in only 24 Calendar Days in the summer 0f 2009. In April of 2012, I established yet another new GWR by visiting all 30 Parks in only 23 Calendar Days! You can see the full schedule at the page of the www.mlbreports.com/gwr-tracker . In 2015, I watched 224 MLB Games, spanning all 30 MLB Parks in 183 Days. Read about that World Record Journey at https://mlbreports.com/183in2015/229sked2015/
