Albert Pujols signed a 10 YR/$254 MIL contract with the Angels in 2012 at the age of 31. He has seen his numbers decline in the past year and a half – and now is injured for the rest of the year with a foot injury. STL Career 3 Slash: .382/.420/1.037 – LAA: .275/.338/.823. Pujols needs to come back healthy for at least the duration of 2017, when Hamilton’s crippling contract is finally over.

You guys are all in for a treat. Jeff Kleiner recently contacted me about a partnership merge for the website. He has developed a site (prosportsrosters.com) that covers all organizational affiliates in the Minors for all of the Major League Baseball Clubs.
We are going to combine efforts to bring you the best look at salaries, current 25 Man Player Rosters and Depth Charts for all 30 teams.
Jeff is going to provide the documents in form of spreadsheets and I am going to accompany the posts with deep analysis of what the numbers tell us from my perspective.
If you can’t wait for all of my assessments for each club, go and visit Jeff’s website over at http://www.prosportsrosters.com.
In Speaking with Jeff, he is one of the more passionate fans I have come across towards the game of baseball. He spends enough time in updating his MLB Facts for it to be a Full-Time Job.
So after the usual Video Clip and READ THE REST OF THIS ENTRY button, you will find some serious &*!@?!#!
Jeff updates this page below on a daily basis. After you click on it….Bookmark it. There is a 3 year salary forecast and stats not listed here on this page. Jeff updates these pages daily and these changes include any Roster moves!

How bad does the contract of 5 YRs/$133 MIL for the Slugger look now? He will make $17 MIL in 2014 $25 MIL in 2015, and then rakes in $32 MIL per year in 2016 and 2017. Hamilton has hit for a 3 Slash Line of .231/.288/.709 – with 19 HRs and 60 RBI in California- after hitting for .305/.361/.912 in the last 5 seasons for Texas. Unless he can turn it around, this deal might go down as one of the worst in MLB History!
The Angels are in financial trouble long – term in Josh Hamilton and Albert Pujols can’t resurrect their prior bubblegum card totals.
The manner in which this club has executed building a team should be an example for how no to do it in future years to come.
Having said this, here is their entire organization
Mike Trout is the polar opposite for player value – when it equates to payroll, to Pujols and Hamilton. The 22 Year old now (birthday recently: Aug.07) makes 520 K this season – and is not Arbitration Eligible until 2015. He has 3 slashed for a .330/.427/.996 in 2013 with 63 XBH (21 HRs, 34 – 2B and an AL Leading 8 Triples.) Trout also leads the AL in Walks with 77. Trout has a chance for his 2nd straight 30/30 year with 28 SB also so far. Last year, Trout scored 123 Runs in 139 Games Played, while just missing out on 50 SB – with 49. If anyone can actually believe it – Trout has a better BA/OBP/OPS then he had last year, the rest of the team has been the issue when it comes to less runs scored at 88 in 123 Games. That number is still outstanding, just not the clip he hitting home plate in 2012.

Jeff Kleiner: “I have been a sports fan since the first Baseball game I went to at Comisky Park in Chicago in 1959, when baseball for me turned from black and white to color.
I have attended or watched thousands of games, always paying attention to statistics, rosters and salaries of all professional sports.
Luckily I had the advantage of watching WGN TV and seeing hundreds of games in the 60’s. Collecting Baseball Cards and then later dealing them gave me an extra sense of the sport, both good and bad.”
